We have made a lot of progress in the last 182 days and want to share all of it with you.

Dear Cana customers and partners,


Since we announced Cana in March, our team has been working tirelessly to complete a manufacturing-ready version of the Cana One by the end of this year, so we can begin shipping devices to you next year.


Here’s a quick update on our end:

  • Timelines: 2022 is emerging as the hardest year ever for bringing new hardware products to market. Supply chain disruptions worldwide have caused major delays in getting key parts and service providers have been backlogged with projects. We were expecting to stand up our production line by the end of this year, to begin delivery of devices in mid-2023, but we now expect to ship our first run of devices towards the end of 2023. We apologize if these timelines don’t meet your expectations and are happy to provide a refund through our support email if you want to cancel your reservation.

  • Pricing plans: We’ve heard and incorporated your feedback around simplifying and better communicating our beverage pricing plans. We expect to launch with a simple $49 per month plan, which will include some number of beverages dispensed from your Cana One during the month. Usage beyond the plan minimum will be billed on a per-use basis. We expect to update you with more details this Fall and there are no commitments on your part, until your device ships.

  • Beverages: We are working diligently to ensure that every beverage that comes from a Cana One tastes absolutely incredible. Our teams continue to rapidly expand the breadth and depth of beverages, working with our brand partners. To do this, we are literally scanning all the world’s most popular beverages as we try to understand what makes them taste great and how we can create incredible beverages that are unique and exclusive to Cana. Fun Fact: We just passed the 1,000,000th beverage ingredient scan in our labs - we think this means we have the world’s largest analytical beverage dataset in the world at this point, which we hope will drive amazing new beverages for you!

  • Brand Partners: We've partnered with an incredible slate of brands and influencers to create beverages from cold brew coffees, to skinny margaritas, to functional beverages with vitamins and electrolytes. We're reinventing the way that fans, followers and consumers can interact with their favorite brands and celebrities.

  • Team: Our team remains excited and committed to getting a Cana One in your hands as soon as possible. This is a big technical effort. We have reallocated resources to try and get Cana One into production as soon as possible and are hiring for several key roles - please apply or help us find great talent.


We started Cana with the simple goal of making an incredible device that could print any beverage for you from the convenience of your kitchen. From there, we realized an important mission - to transform the global beverage industry through decentralized manufacturing, helping to eliminate the extraordinary cost, land, water, and carbon footprint of beverage production.


This is a hard problem to tackle and its importance is what keeps us coming back every day. We look forward to continuing our progress and hope to soon ship you a device that can print any beverage for you in your kitchen, while having a positive impact on the planet.
